چکیده
Background/Aim. Polymerization shrinkage of filling materials is one the main disadvantages adhesive restorative dentistry. The objective study was to measure tooth cusps deflection caused by polymerization a resin-based dental material (RDM) in real-time using digital holographic interferometry (DHI) two groups cavities restored with and without an additional wall. Simultaneously, internal mechanical behavior monitored. Methods. Standardized three class I were prepared on third molar teeth. teeth cut halves longitudinal plane, obtaining six samples for (now II cavities), divided into (group G1 ? wall, group G2 it), mounted aluminum blocks. filled RDM, cured light emitting diode (LED) 40 sec from occlusal direction, monitored during curing post-curing period DHI. Data analyzed Student's t-test independent Anderson-Darling test, alpha level 0.05. Results. At end examined period, showed significantly in-creased [t (10) = 4.7; p 0.001] compared G2. Conclusion. Within limitations this study, it concluded that presence wall simulating matrix band had significant influence increase prolonged RDM shrinkage.

Correlation between Linear polymerization shrinkage & tooth cuspal deflection
The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between the amount of cuspal deflection and linear polymerization shrinkage in resin composite and polyacid modified resin composite. For cuspal defelction and shrinkage measurement, Dyract AP, Compoglass F, Z100, Surefil, Pyramid, Synergy Compact, Heliomolar and Heliomolar HB were used. For measuring polymerization shrinkage, a ...

Aesthetic materials have always been a priority for the restoration of anterior teeth; increasingly, they have also gained prominence in the restoration of posterior teeth. This has been due to their advantages as an alternative to amalgam. Their drawbacks however, can include poor marginal adaptation, postoperative sensitivity and cuspal movement. These are particularly associated with the pol...

PURPOSE The Authors analyzed the effect of spherical glass mega fillers (SGMF) on reducing contraction stress in dental composite resins, by means of a cavity model simulating the cuspal deflection which occurs on filled tooth cavity walls in clinical condition. MATERIALS AND METHODS 20 stylized MOD cavities (C-factor = 0.83) were performed in acrylic resin. The inner surface of each cavity w...

OBJECTIVES The present study examines the influence of cavity type, and size of composite restorations on cuspal flexure due to polymerization shrinkage. METHODS Thirty healthy premolars were selected and divided into two experimental groups. Group 1: Mesial, mesio-distal, and MOD cavities were successively prepared in each tooth by means of the SONICSYS approx system (KaVo) using a n 2 (smal...

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of layering methods, flowable composite liner and use of low shrinkage silorane-based composite on the polymerization shrinkage stress of light cured composites. METHODS Aluminum blocks were used to prepare MOD cavities and divided into four groups. A universal hybrid methacrylate-based composite (Z250), a flowable composite (Z350...
